About this service
In an emergency, everything depends on cockpit and airport fire service working together. Our fire-rescue training for pilots – offered at the RWL – therefore goes beyond radio training alone: pilots learn emergency and evacuation procedures, how to act on the ground during a rescue, and how to cooperate with the fire service. Communication on the 121.555 MHz emergency frequency is a central element, but not the only one.
